Skills: IV Practice

We're going to talk about when and why we might use an IV during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We will also dedicate most of the time to practicing placing IVs on the models and willing participants.

Welcome to the 2026/27 Student Skills Days! We continue to offer these days monthly and for free for anyone who is on the path to becoming a student midwife (you do not need to be enrolled in a school and you do not need to identify as BIPOC to attend). Skills Days will also continue to be offered both in person in Alameda and cast virtually.
